In the footsteps of his father. Stan’s fascination with clear writing began at age 13 when his mother, a poet and writer, and father, an English teacher, began critiquing his school papers. At 15 he knew he wanted to teach while watching his father improve the writing skills of engineers and scientists at Honeywell, Control Data, Unisys, Medtronic, General Mills, and 3M.
Corporate America. Since completing his graduate degree from Yale University, Stan has devoted his life to improving the writing skills of over 100,000 executives, attorneys, scientists, engineers, architects, CPAs and other business and government professionals at many Fortune 500 corporations and government agencies with his Executive Communication Program. Stan’s unique and energetic approach to teaching makes the classes engaging and fun.
United States Navy. Since March 2006, the U.S. Navy has invited Stan to conduct his two-day classes for about 2,500 engineers, architects, attorneys, contract specialist, and professional and managerial personnel at 38 bases and training centers around the world.
University of Minnesota. Stan teaches two of his classes for the College of Continuing & Professional Development at the University of Minnesota.
Along with writing many technical manuals for corporations, Stan has authored five books on Effective Communication for Successful Leadership that he uses in his seminars:
